Clay Street Fire
« on: February 25, 2009, 03:49:50 PM »
There's a fire going on right now on Clay St near Park St. I just took a couple of shots with my cell from my apartment.

In this one, the wind is blowing the smoke northwest as a plane comes in above it on the way to Teterboro. The Gentile Funeral Home is in the foreground:

This photo shows the steeple of the First Presbyterian Church at Union and Passaic. Above it is the Channel 7 chopper, so maybe it'll be on the news:

What is the address of this house.  Is it on the same block as 134 Clay, that was destoyed in May 2009.

Wow, there's an aweful lot of fires in one small area, in less than one year.

1. 134 clay Street, single-family house totally destroyed
2.  new Clay street fire
3.  rooming house on Union Street, just south of Clay Street
4.  2-family House on Park Street between Clay Street and Berry Street, (closer to Berry).  Now a vacant lot
5.  Railroad Place, near High Street - 6 family house

There's no new Clay St fire  - just the one at 134 Clay and it was early this year, not last year. This whole thread is only about that one fire.

The date was given in the first post of this thread and at the top of the video - February 25, 2009. The address was given in the second post.

Got it.

So there's 4 fires in one neighborhood in one year, not five.  Still it's a lot.
