Cartoon Drawing: Lincoln Tunnel, Hackensack, Passaic Sign

There's no real historical interest here, but the sign made me think: where exactly would you have to be in Bergen County for the directional arrows to (almost) make sense?

Ignoring "Yesteryear", all I could come up with was Kinderkamack Rd in River Edge heading south.

I don't know where "Yesteryear" would go to..............Paterson, maybe?

Try this:
Change the Lincoln Tunnel sign to the George Washington Bridge and you could be on the bus heading south on Route 17 while the stage coach is coming south on Forrest Avenue and making a right onto Route 4 west and heading out past Fair Lawn to pick up cookies at Nabisco.

very interesting.  The implication is that Hackensack and Passaic are both modern places, and symbols of progress and technology.  What year is the drawing ?

With that description, you'd have to go back 40 years for the answer (below).

Other than that, you'd have to ask the seller - the auction doesn't say.
