The 2010 Holy Trinity Carnival
« on: May 05, 2010, 04:21:36 PM »
Come one, come all! It's carnival time!

The annual Holy Trinity Carnival opened last night in the church parking lot and continues until this Saturday night.

I went over there this afternoon and took cell pictures of all the big attractions:

A carnival goer's favorite sight: an open gate and no one in the ticket booth..........so I snuck in.

A couple of other Hackensack residents saw me and did the same.

I'm not quite sure what this ride is, but it showed lots of tomahawks and an indian trying to kill a bison. Sounds like fun! (no wonder they won't let adults in).

Next was the Foxitani TenPlex with all screens showing "The Ten Commandments".

The fun never stops.

This is called "The Dragon Wagon". I'm not sure who drives this wagon, but since it sits in a lot owned by the church (and since there's a new pastor), one can only speculate.

Ah, the dreaded "Slide of Sin". We all start up there in the heavens and have nowhere to go but down. I took this picture at the bottom of the ride, so you can guess how far down I am (hint: I had to wear asbestos shoes).

Lastly, we come to the Zipper. It's situated right by the Slide of Sin because the zipper leads to more sin than almost anything else (or so we were taught at HTS).

On a steamy night few years ago, I took a picture of the Zipper in action. Something about the image actually reminds me of another occasion (or two) of sin!

Scary stuff!  (not really)

Here are some images from this evening just before sunset.

Bonus (of sorts) - a link after the last picture for a semi-dim video of everyone's favorite ride - the Zipper.
