Circle Brake Broken
« on: May 13, 2010, 03:57:14 PM »
I wonder what's to become of this River St corner:

I think I know why they went out of business. If all their work looks like their representation of it, egad!

It looks like the axles have snapped as a result of the brake work, they stuck a Hurst shifter where the antenna should go, the headlights point upward, the bumper droops, and the car is emitting some type of cardial pollution.

Perhaps it got that look after it went down the street to the parking lot across from Bowler City and partied in the "C" lot.

Maybe they should call it the "B" lot (for "beer").

Circle Brake did work for me ONCE, what a mistake that was.

They changed my oil, and the technician forgot to put the oil cap back on.  I had oil spilled out of my engine block and all over the engine and all parts under the hood.   They cleaned it up and replaced my oil at no charge.

And I NEVER went back.  I'm sure if they had lots of happy customers, they'd still be in business.

I believe that a bank will be built on the site.

See this article: https://njcb.com/Clips/TheRecord2-11-2007FINAL2.pdf

It's two years old but explains why this area is so "heavily banked".

(I attached the article too if the link is dead).

Are we really complaining about too many banks, folks ???

What's the impact of a bank:

- Great tax ratable
- Always kept in excellent property maintenance.
- Puts no kids in the schools and no drain on city services
- A concentration of banks shows prosperity in Hackensack
- Entrepeneurs like to open businesses near banks
- Banks encourage economic development, and they are more likely to fund local projects
- Banks provide jobs for local residents.

I'd love to see someone list the down-side to banks.  This should be interesting, let's see if there are any takers ?
