Really an Excellent photo.

You must send that to Rev. Steven McClelland of the First Presbyterian Church.

Thank you.

I'm curious - why would the reverend be that interested in a photo of the YMCA?

I know from hearing his sermons that the Rev. McClelland has a particular fondness for rainbows.  He talks about the rainbow as being the symbol of God's covenant with mankind via the Prophet Noah.  That picture could be blown up to poster size, framed, and hung somewhere in the halls of the church complex.  It would be an instant conversation piece because the end of the rainbow is right there, in the immediate neighborhood.  I wonder if the other local churches would appreciate it as well.  Probably yes.

It's really an incredible photo because it's so close-up of a rainbow, it looks like the end is just hanging right over Main Street in front of YMCA.
I've never seen a rainbow so close, most of those I've seen looked like they were at least a mile away.

People don't think of the YMCA as being a Christian organization, but that's the "C" in YMCA, so there is some symbolism there.

You've posted quite a few photos that have impressed me, and this is definatley one of your best.  Thanks.

Well, Rev. Steve knows me, so feel free to plug your idea when you see him in church tomorrow morning.

Rainbows are a dime a dozen around here. I posted a couple here in March: http://www.hackensacknow.org/index.php?topic=1445.0

Below are some other ones I've shot:

1. St Joseph's Church, Bogota

2. The Anderson St bus stop by Holman's

3. Ever see a whole rainbow?

4. I even took this album cover shot of Ritchie Blackmore of Rainbow. This is the band in which a Hackensack boy made his name - Joe Lynn Turner (better known around here as Joey Linquito, who I used to shoot in local clubs in the 70s when he was the singer for Fandango).
