Description:

The East Coast Squirrels - The Cartoon Edition.
By Birgitte Simonsen

Paperback book $17.57

Four squirrels from Hackensack, New Jersey, make a band. They travel to New York City, and with their music they change the city in an amazing way. A story of how dreams can come true.

Sounds like a truly inspirational story for the thousands of squirrels out there that play musical instruments.

I see the name Birgitte Simonsen.  Simonsen is one of the old-time Hackensack names, going way way back, maybe even to Colonial times.  The Simonsen estate was torn down to build the MainOak apartments, at Main and Oak Streets in the northern Fairmount Section.

The last known Simonsen in Hackensack was an elderly woman living in a house on the eastern block or so of Willow Ave, in the 1980s.  I wonder if Birgitte is a descendant.
