Fatal party balloon flights
« on: November 15, 2011, 04:27:06 PM »
A study was done this past weekend on the safety of party balloons flying around Hackensack. With a huge sample of THREE flights over a 24-hour period, it was discovered that exactly two-thirds of all the flights ended in balloon death.

1. This tandem flight of two birthday balloons ended very badly in a nearby tree.

2. This happy-looking flight got enough lift to make it over the trees and is shown here flying by Sears. Unfortunately, it appears to have lost a lot of helium, so I suspect that smile didn't last long. But since I didn't witness its demise, it counts as a successful flight as far as this study is concerned.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO CONSUME HELIUM, STAY TETHERED! DON'T GAS AND FLY!

It's the law (or it should be).
