Stars, Moon, Sunset, Steeple.......and Venus
« on: November 30, 2011, 07:58:28 PM »
1. I saw an unusually high number of stars one night - unusual for this area anyway - but they were hardly visible when I downloaded the picture. I had taken the shot as wide open at maximum exposure time as possible with my little camera, but it hardly seemed to help.

I used everything I could think of to manipulate the image, including over-brightening, maximum contrast, etc. - extremes I wouldn't normally use for ANY picture (and it's pretty obvious why) - and this is the best I could come up with.

I think I see a Dipper standing on its handle just to the right of (and below) center, but I don't know which one it is.

2/3. Last Saturday evening, there were more celestial goodies in the sky as Venus and a sliver of the moon seemed to hover over Hackensack.

The other images need no explanation.
