Children of Uganda Present Tour of Light 2012

Hackensack New Jersey – January 9, 2012 – On Friday Night February 3rd at 7:30 PM at The First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack the “Children of Uganda” will present the “Tour of Light 2012.”  A concert of Dance, Song and Testimony performed by Uganda’s talented Children that the New York Times proclaims “First Rate and Inspiring.” The Children of Uganda “Tour of Light” will be touring throughout the United States in 2012, however the upcoming concert  at The First Presbyterian Church at Hackensack is the only performance in Bergen County scheduled this year.

The Children of Ugandais an organization working with local non-governmental organizations and community groups to address the needs of Uganda’s most vulnerable population – Children.Uganda’s AIDS epidemic, extreme poverty and decades of civil conflict have left its country with more than 2.4 million orphans ~ the most of any country in the world.

Due to a lack of government-subsidized education, extended families and orphanages face an enormous financial barrier to educating Uganda's children. Children of Uganda is helping to address this unmet need by providing education and support to AIDS-related orphans and vulnerable children, while at the same time promoting global awareness of the effects of HIV/AIDS.

Through education and support programs in Uganda and the Children of Uganda tour, they are able to give hope to children in Uganda and help the world understand the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS on children in developing nations.

Ticket price: $20.00.  All proceeds raised from The Tour of Light concertwill go to support orphans and vulnerable children through Children of Uganda, www.uccf.org.
