Grocery Store on North State St.
« on: April 10, 2012, 03:03:06 AM »
Back in the 1970's I worked on State Street for NJ Bell. As I remember there was a small family owned grocery store on State street next to Top's Cleaners. I think it was called "Napilatano's" but I'm not certain. It's long gone, but I still remember the friendly workers and the interesting variety of foods. Can someone offer any information?

There used to be Esposito's Market in that area. That was there until the mid 70's.

Thanks for that info Homer. I don't know where I got "Napilatano's" from.

Yes I remember now it was Esposito's Market. I thought it was a great place. But I guess the ShopRites and Food Towns win out over the little folks.

Thanks again Homer!
