A Community BBQ with Live Music Rock & Reggae Music
To Benefit the Center for Food Action

Hackensack New Jersey – July 29, 2012 – On Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack invites the entire community to a BBQ with live music to benefit the hungry people who are our neighbors.  Pulled Pork, expertly prepared in a Cuban Oven, BBQ chicken, Spanish Rice & Beans, Corn Bread, Cole Slaw, Choice of Beverage, plus dessert await your arrival and while we feed your stomach, “Rocky and the Pressers” a Rock and Reggae band from the Bronx, New York will sooth your soul.

According to the Center for Food Action “in northern New Jersey, which is traditionally considered an affluent suburb, the poverty rate is 75% higher than it was 20 years ago.”

The mission of the Center for Food Action is to “prevent hunger and homelessness and improve the lives of individuals and families living in poverty.”

The mission of the First Presbyterian Church is to serve the community as Jesus served his.  We aim to feed your bodies and your spirits and we ask people of good will to join us to help feed those who are hungry in our communities and neighborhoods.

Ticket price: $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 12 and under.  Admission at the door $12.00 for adults, $8.00 12 & under.  All proceeds raised from The Community BBQ will go to the Center for Food Action, http://cfanj.org
