I've been inundated on all sides by the smell of asphalt for the last couple of days - State St (and part of Ward St) to the east (1), Passaic St to the south (2), Conklin Pl (3, 10), Pangborn Pl and Park St (10) to the west, Anderson St to the north (4-9).............and a guy with a truckload of traffic cones after the work is done (11).
In the 3rd picture, I appear to be a drone flying overhead. In the 6th picture, I could see something on the hood of the police car in the distance, so I enlarged it (7) and saw that it was two boxes that each say "Est. 1901" on them. Anybody know what that's about?
In the 8th picture, you'll never see two streets with better-looking, cleaner surfaces than Conklin Pl ending at Park St. In the 10th picture, I wanted to get a shot of a fully-paved Anderson St business section devoid of cars [8], but my timing was off. I shot it 2/3 done, so I asked when they might be finished and when the street would reopen to traffic. I was told 4pm and 5pm, respectively, so I went over there at 3:30 and it was already open.
Oh, well - next time (when I'm 146).
