Coast is toast!
I just called Coast Automotive for a history lesson and learned that they're history.
Someone answered the phone saying something other than "Coast Automotive" and told me that Coast went out of business last summer..............news to me.
All those memories of buying cheap cool stuff for the car at the Main St store in the mid-to-late 60s............chrome exhaust extensions, pinstriping, silicone spray for the tires and seats, Hurst shifters, Baby Moon hubcaps if you were broke (deep-dish chrome-reversed wheels if you weren't), and especially glasspack mufflers that sounded great and drove the Hackensack cops crazy (see
