July 4th
« on: June 27, 2013, 06:55:55 PM »
Greetings!  We just moved to Hackensack and have really enjoyed getting to know the area!  I saw that there is a Fourth of July event at Foschini Park and I just wondered if any of you could tell me more about it.  Does it cost to get in?  Is there parking?  Do people bring blankets/chairs for the fireworks?  Can you bring a picnic?  Also, if there are any other 4th of July events in the area, please feel free to tell me about that too!

Thanks!!

Welcome! Nice to see you made it.

There's another event the kids will like that started last Friday and goes on until July 7 - State Fair Meadowlands - http://www.njfair.com

From their site: "As always, we offer plenty of FREE entertainment including a top-notch circus, live performers on two stages, racing pigs and so much more.  You will not want to miss our spectacular fireworks shows on July 3rd and 4th.  And, you will definitely want to be here Saturday, June 29 to see the last qualifier of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest before the big event at Coney Island on July 4! Take a ride on the area’s only Sky Ride or The Official Batcopter from TV’s Batman.  With over 150 rides and attractions everyone in your family will have plenty to do."

Their fireworks are scheduled to start at 10:45pm.
