If everyone's banking here, why aren't they buying here?

Don't worry, it'll happen real soon, the buyers will return to Hackensack in force.  Why ???

The difference in house value between Hackensack and nearby suburban towns is higher than ever, and this is without merit. Plus with the economy and especially the new cost to purchase health insurance, people's budgets are increasingly stretched. More and more buyers are priced out of the suburban town that they want, and they have to settle for an urban center.  That puts Hackensack at a huge competitive advantage because Hackensack, by far, is the best and safest urban center in New Jersey. And we are NOT an Abbott district. The buyers will return in force, it's all a matter of the economy and the difference in house prices of Hackensack vs. River Edge or Hackensack vs. Teaneck.
