Polifly Towing was paying only $900 a year for land to park all those vehicles ?? That's $75 a month.  What a disgrace.  What a giveaway.

And on top of that, they haven't paid in almost 12 years.

By any chance, do they have a contract with the city for towing services, and is there a history of them making large campaign contributions in past city elections ?  Or their owner personally making large contributions ?  Someone needs to look into that.

HACKENSACK City officials on Friday announced the hiring of a full-time chief financial officer to help resolve what one official called the financial morass the new city government inherited when it took office in July.

James A. Mangin, of Hasbrouck Heights, a former chief financial officer for North Arlington and Oakland, will be paid an annual salary of $140,000, said Anthony Rottino, the interim city manager. Mangin replaces the citys part-time financial officer, who had been hired through an accounting firm that had been paid about $150,000 a year, said Thom Ammirato, city spokesman.
