HACKENSACK — The executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference will be the guest speaker next week at an event honoring Martin Luther King Jr.
Mount Olive Baptist Church on Central Avenue will host the Rev. Damien Conners at noon on Jan. 20 to mark Martin Luther King Day. The theme of the event, which is being sponsored by the Fellowship of Black Churches, is "Celebrating Our Past, and Creating Our Future.
