So now it looks like the non union employees are getting screwed.No question here that the unused sick and vacation day payments are onerous to taxpayers; but, shouldn't there be an equitable renumeration to City employees who accepted employment with the City with the understanding that the benefits that were in place at the time of the employee's hiring would be in place at the time of retirement.
A promise made at the time of an employee's hiring should be a promise kept. End of discussion.
