Hackensack got gypped!
For two days, the Yankee Lady took off from Teterboro and made a quick turn east. Maybe if you were between Costco and Rt 80, you could have gotten some good shots. On the return trip, it flew south somewhere between the Hackensack and Hudson rivers.
Generally, I couldn't hear it until it was past me. I did catch a couple of takeoffs when I was on my roof, but at no time was the plane within a mile of me, so these shots are kind of stretched to the limit. I did better two years ago when the plane took a friendlier local route.
The first 3 photos have to do with takeoff. You can see some Teterboro airplane hangers, the Pulaski Skyway(!), and the tall Main St banks, as the plane heads east.
The next 2 are the tightest shots I could get of the YL. Remember, it's over a mile away.
6,7,8 show the plane and Midtown Manhattan, 1WTC, and Enlightenment on top of the BC Courthouse (similar to two years ago in previous post).
9 and 10 are just slightly unusual. 9 appears to show the plane landing on the old Bank of America building at 210 Main. 10 is looking directly east as the plane is probably over the Bronx, but along the bottom are a blimp, a large bird (I think), and the new tower by the GWB.
All in all, it was a disappointment, photo-wise.
