Automatic lawn sprinklers in Anderson Park?

This must be new. I don't think I've ever seen this before in my 26 years of living across the street from the park..............and they were on only in the eastern end............and it rained recently.

Must have been quite a surprise to anyone walking on the Union St side when they went on. Further surprises may be in store when people start tripping on them.

I guess watering the sidewalks will help them grow.

Between the sprinklers and the fountain, Anderson Park is becoming Hackensack's water park.

Dunno if it continued all night, but the sidewalks were still getting soaked at 9am and noon. The water table apparently went dry sometime during the afternoon.

On the plus side, the second photo may show the first recorded rainbow in Anderson Park (squint real hard).
