Sunday Night Sun - Part 2: YellowOrangeRed
« on: September 16, 2014, 05:55:57 PM »
It was one of those great skies where the clouds were just the right type, shape, altitude, and speed (slow) to capture everything the sun threw at them. I was shooting regular stills, photo stitches, and HDRs while the yellow-orange-red color progression occurred in under 15 minutes.

The stitches didn't come out well and had to be tossed except for a partial (2-photo) one that shows Sears and the Holy Trinity Church steeple in what appears to be very colorful Big Sky country (last image).

Stills came out better than HDRs. That's why I had to go a little overboard with the one HDR in the group (the First Presbyterian Church's steeple).

The sky's been fairly drab this summer, so this evening's sky was nice to see.

Hope y'all saw some of it.
