Hackensack Crossing Guard Injured
« on: November 14, 2014, 04:38:35 PM »
I'm aware of at least one other instance where a crossing guard was hit.  Dangerous occupation.  She's wearing a bright vest, holding a large red stop sign.  Imagine kids trying to get to/from school without them.

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 68-year-old Hackensack school crossing guard was hospitalized with leg and lower body pain after she was bumped by a car this morning.

The 24-year-old female Maywood driver had the green light when the guard walked into Passaic Street with a stop sign just after 8 a.m. and was struck, Detective Capt. Thomas Salcedo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Her injuries were not considered serious and no summonses were issued.
