The FAKE Blizzard of January 26-27, 2015 Photo Project

You know how we marvel at the old pictures of blizzards that have hit Hackensack? They don't happen that often, but since we're about to get hit with one that's already being labeled as historic, it might be a good idea to create a citywide record of it.

Since most everyone will be snowed in, we might accomplish that if everyone on this site who has a camera would document and post pictures and stories - from the mundane to the spectacular - of their part of Hackensack during and after the storm, probably for many days.

I'll do my part, but I only have one perspective. Since future generations who live here would enjoy seeing what happened in their part of town way back when, everyone's perspective would be very helpful.

This would include people who work for the city, especially emergency and DPW workers - those who encounter the magnitude of the storm and see things that the rest of us can't.

Everything posted here - pictures and stories - will be in the city's database for centuries to come. Think of it as contributing to a digital time capsule

Posterity and your great-great-great-great grandchildren will thank you for it.
