I hope someone else has street pictures to post because I was busy until about 3:45 and didn't get to check it out. Just as well - it was cloudy and cold and not my favorite shooting weather.
The stage is two blocks from home, so I took a walk over there just before 4:00 and before I could finish crossing Main St behind the stage at Passaic St, I saw someone with a big indian headdress crossing Passaic St. Wowie-zowie! Guys from the Village people were coming out of the YYYYYY-M-C-A! Too bad I couldn't get them all together in front of the building.
So I was talking to Mayor LaBrosse as he waited to go onstage to introduce them, when the group suddenly bounded up the stage steps and jumped right into their show. Don't we have an ordinance about upstaging the mayor at a Hackensack festival?
Since I prefer loud rocking guitars, this was not my cup of tea, so half a song was enough for me. I took a couple of shots and booked.
Total number of pictures taken and total number of minutes spent there were both in single digits, but I got what I needed.
Maybe NEXT year we'll finally get Blue Oyster Cult.
