Flower-pot stop signs
« on: June 01, 2016, 08:33:05 PM »
These rather redundant items were seen at Union and Passaic at 9:30am last Friday.

By 11:30am, they were gone.

Anyone have a clue?

Maybe the traffic signal was inoperable and the temporary stop signs were placed there until the signal was fixed?

I agree that that would appear to be the scenario, but usually, when those traffic lights lose power, so does my building.............and even if it's somehow just the lights, there's always a cop out there to direct traffic when they're out.

In 28 years here, I've never seen the stop flower-pots deployed. That's why it looked so odd to me...............especially when the lights were working.
