ON 'LIKELY' CLOSING OF SEARS STORE.

Knocking down the Sears tire and auto battery store to clear the property for construction of a supermarket doesn't sound like downsizing to me, and it wasn't "a separate parcel," as Anzidel notes herself when reporting ALDI opened in 2017 "at the other end of the [Sears] parking lot."

Sears Auto Center hasn't gone anywhere. It was the Sears Appliance and Outdoor Store annex that was sacrificed.

If you're a large gentleman (size 12 or 13 shoe, 3XL jacket), get over to Sears' closing sale. I found a beautiful pair of work/winter boots and a sharp almost-leather jacket that would have cost me a total of less than $40, had I been those sizes.

Not being sure if I could be around do this on the final day,  I picked the penultimate day. Maybe picking September 11 to do this wasn't such a good idea.

Nice final impression, Sears, from someone who first shopped there in the 1950s.

You won't be missed.
