The invasion of the safety-vested photographers has begun
« on: June 25, 2017, 04:22:00 PM »
At about 9:20 this morning, I saw these two safety-vested people walking up and down State St between Ward and Passaic, taking a picture every 30 or 40 feet or so - first of the rehab property from this side of the street and then aimed in my direction from the property side of the street. I wonder if he got a picture of me taking his picture. I wonder if they get double time for working on Sunday. How can I get in on this?

I'm just guessing this is connected to the rehab project and not to conversion of State St to two-way, which starts a week from this Wednesday.

Maybe I should start separate threads for whatever I shoot of both projects.

Whaddaya think, boss?

I don't know who these people are. Maybe related.  Maybe not.

Today's vested interests

This vested guy was marking the street for underground utility lines this morning and then took pictures of his handiwork. The third picture shows his work vehicle and the company name reveals this: http://www.atlanticinfratrac.com/about/

The two vested guys in the seventh picture showed up about 100 minutes later and stood around.

This afternoon, some big.............thing............with solar panels was brought onto State St's western sidewalk. Since a cop was there, I thought it might have something to do with a "Click it or Ticket" campaign that the police usually do in that location on holiday weekends, but when it was turned towards traffic, I realized it was a solar-powered message sign that was probably put there in advance of the State St conversion that starts next Wednesday at the next intersection, State and Passaic.
