Kids Recreate "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Once again the children of CMDE’s Saturday Workshop have successfully transformed their favorite story in to an exciting live performance. This time they bring you both Christmas and Halloween all in Spring with “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The Saturday Workshop performance program by children for children is offered by CMDE to its students FREE of charge. Musicals are selected by the teenage choreographers and taught to their cast over eight Saturdays
Choreographers Evelyn Chen & Roni Finkelstein both age 13, have created a refreshingly original version of the popular children’s movie and book. CMDE faculty member, Sarah Savoye is the director of this cast of 22 children ages 7 to 16 years old, hailing from all over Bergen County and beyond (Cresskill, Fairview, Sussex, Bogota, Glen Rock, Westwood, Bergenfield, Tenafly, Little Falls, Paramus, Teaneck, and Hackensack). The magic begins on Saturday, May 7, 3:30pm & 5pm at CMDE, 84 Euclid Avenue, Hackensack. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children & seniors citizens.
