“Rhythm and Nature” Danceathon
on June 11th
Every year CMDE holds a celebration of dance called The Danceathon, an “un-recital”. In a non-competitive, nurturing environment so that students of all ages and abilities are comfortable and the experience. Well, its Danceathon time of year again, and bigger than it’s ever been. This year’s title Rhythm and Nature affectively expresses the theme of our June celebration. Environmentally inspired works from a variety of different classes will come together to make a fun and exciting performance. Appearing on the stage will be the Middle Eastern Dance class, African Dance class, Hip-Hop Dance class, Musical Theatre class, Repertory Company, Junior Repertory Company, Boys Company, Ballet class, and of course our many Modern Dance classes for children, teens, adults and individuals with disabilities. Our classes include students from all over Bergen County and beyond.
Because of CMDE’s increased number groups participating in this year’s celebration the Danceathon is divided into three (3) performances rather than the two (2) performances of years passed.
On June 11th, 2005 come join us at the Ciccone Theatre at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ for one our or all of our performances. The first performance begins at 12:30pm, the second at 3:00pm and the third at 4:30pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door for advanced tickets or further information call (201) 342-2989.
