CMDE and Friends Perform at
State Fair on July 2nd
The Meadowlands State Fair is back again with rides, games, and on July 2nd special guest performers. The Center for Modern Dance Education, a non-profit organization since 1962, will be represented at the State Fair by it’s very own CMDE Repertory Company, performing choreography by Company Director, Janelle Smith-Reed, Teaneck, NJ. Also, longtime CMDE collaborator Candace Hundley-Kamate will join the performance with her company The Seventh Principle Performance Company. The presence of both groups promises an exciting performance.
The CMDE Repertory Company is filled it’s most accomplished students ranging form ages 12-17 years old and hailing from all over Bergen County ( Hackensack, Teaneck, Englwood, Cresskill, Ridgefield Park, etc.) and beyond. The Seventh Principle Performance Company is a New Jersey based, African/Modern Dance company committed to preserving and sharing the African/African-American experience through dance.
