1919 Soldiers' Welcome Home

GeorgeHedges:
These photos are from my great uncle George Hedges of a parade but did not identify the location.  For years I've been trying to figure out where they  were taken and although I suspected Hackensack, I couldn't find anything until I read this post.

GeorgeHedges:
Original comparative placard from June 29,1919 honoring Hackensack soldiers who gave their lives during the Great War.  From the photo album of 1st Sgt. George Hedges / 114th Infantry from WW1.

Wow. Love this.

Skipx219:
I can't read all the names...but I wonder if some of the names match those on the memorial tree planting in Fochini Park ??

Just glancing, I noticed many names match. Maybe all of them.
