Record Article: Don't curb Internet commentary

A-1327, if passed, will require online message boards and forum Web sites to record the legal names and addresses of all members living in New Jersey. Biondi's aim is to assist "any person who is damaged by false or defamatory written messages ... on a public forum Web site" in seeking legal action against the poster of such messages. Furthermore, if the operators of the Web site do not comply with the policy, they are liable to persons who feel they have been harmed.
