I don't think I've seen this image anywhere on this site. It's from the Walker 1876 Bergen County Atlas. One was being sold on eBay recently and this is one of the images the seller posted.

You may want to incorporate it into your above list, Mr Editor.

I was just talking to my sister (we lived on Catalpa Ave) about Nystroms restaurant. Back in the late 1940's our parents use to take us there. It was located on Rte-4 (East-bound lane). I vaguely remember wooden booths painted orange, blue and white. It wasn't the Ritz, but my sister and I loved the place.

Twin Lakes   Motor Lodge (destroyed). 1950's?)

I remember this place existing in the early 1970's. It consisted of individual cabins. I worked as a repairman for NJ Bell at the time and remember repairing the coin boxs (public telephones) there.

Main St. 1972 during the NY&NJ Firemens Parade.  that is Oradell's 1918 American La France going South On Main St between Salem and Banta.

The sign on the building to the right was recently uncovered.  This is near Demarest Place, east side.  This was later 3 Brothers Bagels, who is moving across the street.  Great find.

That Corvair convertible is also a relic - thanks, in part, to Ralph Nader and his "Unsafe At Any Speed" book.

BTW - Nader gave the commencement speech when I graduated from Ramapo College in 1974.

Theatre Tavern is still there. It's now Riviera Lounge, but the old windows are clearly visible.
