I bet you did not block the driveway...

Here is another interesting site if you enjoy info about the area's air traffic.

View this on the 40 mile scale and you get an idea of the scope of traffic overhead at most times. You can set the start time and date so if you see an interesting craft note the time and set it later to get the ID, originating and destination airport along with altitudes along the way. The aircraft symbol you click on will highlight and give you the information.

It is a pusher type engine arrangement but hardly the lone ranger at Teterboro.

The P.180 is a popular shared or full ownership aircraft and is part of a fleet of 60 leased out by this company:

You can see arrivals and departures from Teterboro here:

When you see a P.180 listed click on the Type # and you will see how many Avantis are in the air at that time along with their location. At this time there are 18 en-route to various airports. This is the link

The best views of Teterboro bound aircraft North of the airport is provided when the wind is out of the South. Aircraft land into the wind so when there is a South wind I get to see the traffic over Paramus near Spring Valley and Midland avenues at about 1100 feet above ground level, surely lower over Hackensack.

The distinctive sound of a B-17's rotary engines is hard to miss. The only modern day Teterboro bound aircraft that is easily recognized via it's engine sound is the Italian built Viaggio Avanti P.180.

A beautiful ship that is the fastest non-jet private aircraft available.

I was outside and felt nothing while my neighbor across the street came out and said her house had just been shaking.

My son lives near Richmond Va. and he said the house shook enough that he had to grab a door frame to keep his balance, he said the epicenter was about 40 miles from his location.

The decorative brick crosswalks sure took a beating. I wonder if they will be restored or if that is just chalked off as the price of maintaining the underground utilities.

There is always room for one more 7-11 especially if it's near the Stony Hill Inn.

The politicos can pick up that quart of milk the little women asked them to bring home after a power lunch on the taxpayers. ;D

I knew a man who had a couple of old restored Buicks which was his collectible of choice...the cars lived in an air conditioned garage.

If she is a female she looks like a tough old bird and bridegroom Hammy has the vacant thousand mile stare of a man who has
seen his days of freedom pass before his eyes.

"Uhh............with 5,000 pictures taken in just under 4.5 months, maybe it's not so new anymore."

The ability to take an almost unlimited number of pictures makes it difficult to remember the personal control needed during the film days to stay within your resources. Storing 10,000 photos or more on a postage stamp size card is amazing.

Nice photos. I heard them from my location in Paramus near the River Edge order but had no idea where they were coming from. I thought it was from the park on Continental in River Edge.

You must get some great shots from the roof around July 4th.

Sears has a "contact us" link on their main website and I sent an email telling them of the improper way they are displaying the American flag.

Cut backs are tough on everyone but flying the flag properly is not an option. If they can't afford someone to do it right then just take down the flag pole.

One of those fired employees may have been in the process of raising the flag when he got the word his services were no longer needed.

I was also smoking about a pack and a half per day but of Marlboro Lights..."the healthier cigarette".

My crutch was the patch which worked well, my incentive was finding that I had a cancerous tumor at the rear of my tongue.

I felt ridiculous filling out forms at a doctor's office and having to answer yes to the Do You Smoke? question. It may as well have asked Are You Stupid?

Being you have a water supply all you need are some railroad ties and a few bags of dirt and you can be an urban farmer. Many photo opportunities there.

With the gov't.s determination to tax smokers into oblivion it will not be too long before the outside smoke break crowds are severely thinned and a more common sight will be a lone smoker or two trying to convince curious onlookers that "yes they are enjoying themselves" and "no, fifteen dollars for a pack of butts is not really that much". The end of an era.
