Title: Riverkeeper: Volunteer Opportunties
Post by: Editor on November 11, 2004, 01:50:00 AM
Hello Friends,

Hackensack Riverkeeper has a couple of upcoming volunteer opportunities:

The first involves coming in to the office to do some database maintenance. This project will be ongoing for at least the next couple of weeks, so please call me at the office (201) 968-0808 so I can put you on the schedule.

The second is a little more exciting, but a little more of a time commitment as well! For the past few years, Hackensack Riverkeeper has had a booth at the NY Boat Show at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. We will be there again this year, and we need one volunteer to come with us each day of the show for the entire day (a different volunteer every day). Your primary responsibility will be selling raffle tickets for the Adirondack Guideboat, and answering people?s questions if Captain Bill and the Hackensack Riverkeeper staff person are occupied. The show runs from Saturday, January 1 through Sunday, January 9. We will most likely meet in NJ, drive together to the ferry in Weehawken, and take the ferry right to the convention center. Transportation and entrance to the show will be gratis, and of course you?ll have a chance to wander around and choose your next boat. : ) If you are interested, please call me and let me know which days you are available during this time period, so I can try to work out a schedule.

Thanks as always for your support, and I look forward to working with you!
