I just found a bunch of misplaced prints of shots I took in the nabe 4-5 years ago, so I'm scanning them and will post a few in the next couple of days.

The fisheye lens has bent a few things, like telephone poles and buildings.

The excitement just never ends around here................ ::)

Description:

This is a letter sent to Mr. Ed Williams regarding listing his company in an Elks club publication.  Letter is dated June 1928.  You can see the letter, original envelope and the tag pinned to the letter.

Mr. Williams was a home developer in Hackensack, N.J.      There is a college in Hackensack named after him....... Edward Williams College.

I think there's just a building with that name now - Williams Hall, which houses FDU's School of Psychology.

I'm hoping that the seller's research is accurate with regard to this particular Edward Williams.

I found this while cleaning out some stuff. It would be more timely to post it in about 3 months, but I'll probably misplace it by then, so here it is.

Did anyone attend this? It would be nice to have any details/remembrances of the event documented here.

On a humorous note, I saw a quick photo shoot going on near the front of one plane. The subject was taller than everyone else and was in full uniform.

It was Mister Met. Let's see where those pictures pop up.

I think I got a shot of it with my adult camera, but I'm still shooting slides, so it'll be a while before I see those shots.

And here it is:

Album sold "as-is".

I'm posting this to show another variation of what's been put out from this gig. Editor's "Early" album has 7 cuts. This one has 6. My CD-R has 10, but only 3 that are on Editor's LP and 4 that are on this album, where none of the song lengths are the same on the songs that DO match up - some differ by over a minute.

This seller listed his 6 cuts and Editor listed his 7 above, so for the record, my CD-R has:

 1. Drivin' South (Instrumental)
 2. Ain't That Peculiar?
 3. I'll Be Doggone
 4. I've Got A Sweet Little Angel
 5. Bright Lights, Big City
 6. Get Out Of My Life Woman
 7. Last Night (Instrumental)
 8. Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch
 9. What'd I Say?
10. Shotgun

When I put the CD-R into iTunes, I saw "PPX Studio Recordings (Live at George's Club 20) - Disc 4 of 6" show up in the disc info. Wow - could there really be 6 discs-worth of recordings from George's?

I found this: http://www.discogs.com/Jimi-Hendrix-The-Complete-PPX-Studio-Recordings/release/1326994

Jimi Hendrix - The Complete PPX Studio Recordings (see second image)

There ARE 6 discs in this package, but only one from George's, which is the only disc in the group with an identifiable recording location.

This isn't an auction - I just happened to stumble across this photo online.

Here's the info that came with it:

1959 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Scenic Coupe at tiny White Manna Hamburgers in Hackensack, New Jersey. This minuscule 800 square foot Paramount diner serves hamburgers sized to match; each petite burger is about the size of a flattened golf ball, served on a custom white bun (hence the name White Manna) with or without grilled onions. This Art Deco inspired diner was built for the 1939 New York World's Fair, and offered visitors a futuristic look at fast food. It features glass block and stainless steel construction. Over the years, the menu has remained limited to simple fare so the three person staff can easily serve clientele. Paramount Diners were built in Haledon, New Jersey and are renowned for their clever use of materials; particularly their Art Deco inspired diners featuring decorative Formica, custom tile work, glass block and patterned stainless steel
