Description:

Offered for bid a vintage restaurant menu. This one is for the Commodore, Bergen County's Finest, Hackensack, NJ dated c. late 1940's early 1950's. It features a wonderful cover of a captain's hat, opened up two pages of dinner menu, an insert, the back has the wine and liquor list, measures appx. 9" by  11 1/2", and is in excellent overall condition with very slight aging and wear.

That is a fascinating drink menu, serving everything from Courvoisier to a glass of Muscatel. I wonder what the full course $1.00 Sunday dinner consisted of.

A Hubbard 7 phone number, when Hackensack was served by the Hubbard 7,8 and 9 and Diamond 2 and 3 exchanges both located in the State Street Central Office. In the days when a person's telephone number gave away where they lived.
