Title: The old Hess tanks Bogota replacement project on W. Fort Lee Rd - Before & After
Post by: BLeafe on October 16, 2018, 01:50:32 PM

1. You may remember this pre- and post-demolition posting from January 2015, taken from the Hackensack River Walkway by Costco.

The rest of the photos were taken last week:

2. (also from Costco) The cranes look very far apart in this photostitch.

3. Moving around the bend in the river to the walkway behind Pep Boys makes them look a lot closer.

4. From a little further north on the same walkway, I got this long stitch of the entire scene.

5. After crossing the Court St bridge, I got this really wide stitch of the site. You can see the red top of the same fence on both sides of the image.

I may come back periodically, but I have enough projects to shoot on my side of the river.

Nearly 4 months later: some verticality on the eastern side (nearest the Susie-Q tracks)

The project as seen (stitch) from the east-west bend in the Hackensack River alongside Costco

I haven't been on-site in ages, so it looks a little different.

1. The view from Hackensack behind Pep Boys

2. The official name

3,4. Similar things from different angles

5. This stitch connects the two parts of the project that I could see (the "River Club" banner seems to indicate that there are - or will be - others).

6. This part was much closer to the RR tracks and River Rd as you proceed east from the Court St Bridge.

7. This is the flip side of the view shown in the first image.

The first two images were taken from the Court St Bridge, the third from W. Fort Lee Rd in Bogota and the last two were taken from Costco on the other side of the river in Hackensack.

This post comes one year after the previous post and SEVEN years after the top stitch in the pair of photo stitches from 1-19-14 and 1-10-21.

I'd say that Hackensack now has a much better view.
