the list above is incorrect.   we dont have an intersection Golf and East Passaic St. Golf Pl and Passaic St in Hackensack run parallel 2 blocks away from each other.     the intersection of Golf Ave and East Passaic St is in Maywood.


in looking at the link to the accidents,  I surmise that the actual location for #3 is Main St and Passaic St.  And not the intersection of East Passaic and Passaic on the state list in the link.    Main St is the transition point from East Passaic to Passaic St, and is milepost 0 on the county road system, as indicated in the list.

believe those are debris catchers.  that pipe should be in operation right now.   those devices catch the fine debris and dont allow it into the river.

no. it was sent back to American La France and rebuilt.   thats how they did things then.  rebuild.   now they total things out because there are no craftsmen in the factories to rebuild them, AND its all about the dollar.   with few exceptions.

this is the rig.  Open cab rigs were the rule until the 60's.  the last one was built new from the factory in 1982.

it should be a part of the redevelopment.  move the area where the smaller boats and torpedos sit south of there to the area of the boat ramp and make a small easement along the river, which has to be done anyway with redevelopment, and keep the boat there.  dredge around it.   nicer area, more people will visit...

gonna have to go on the railroad property, thats where the shot was taken from.   that pier in the foreground is off the Costco property. its still there, but busted up.  the X is where the original photo was taken from.  Tidewater sand and gravel is in the photo where Pepboys is now.

anything
