This is very interesting.  I had thought that Masonic structure was formerly a Methodist Church, specifically the church that moved to Passaic & Summit Avenue.  I guess not.  Does anyone know where on State Street was the former location of the Methodist Church

Well, we're making some progess.  The attachment says that the building used to be the United Methodist church, and became the Masonic Lodge in February 1920.  The Methodist church at Summit & Passaic looks like it was built around 1970.

So where was the Methodist Church located from 1920 to about 1970.  I bet ole' Homer has the answer to this one.

Sorry to disappoint you; but, I can't help you out on that one.

Councilman Marlin Townes is a member of that church.  Maybe someone can ask him.  He would be able to get the answer if he doesn't know himself.
