Title: Pietro fountain

In the early 20th century, sculptor Pietro Cartaino di Sciarrino or C.S. Pietro created the marble fountain that was in front of the court building in Hackensack. I would appreciate any information about the placement of the fountain at the site, particularly the date of the project, between 1909 and 1913, and how Pietro received the commission for the project. I have seen postcards that feature the court building and the fountain, but I am not aware of the current condition of the fountain.

There's also reference to the fountain here (http://www.hackensacknow.org/index.php/topic,818.msg2404.html#msg2404). While I can't find a definitive source, I'm told that the fountain marked the beginning of running water into the city. 

The fountain was torn down and replaced with this WWI memorial:
