Hackensack Discussion / Railroad and Central?
« on: February 09, 2011, 12:19:25 PM »
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but does anyone know what is being built on the northeast corner of Railroad and Central?
I heard a rumor it was more projects, but know if it's valid.

Hackensack Discussion / Snow being plowed?
« on: January 04, 2011, 11:12:39 PM »
I hate to whine, but I'm going to.  The snowstorm was a week and a half ago, and still, there are many, many streets in Hackensack that are narrowed to one lane with the snow.  Why have the plows not been through to finish the job?  There hasn't been street sweeping.  I wonder if cars that were parked in the street sweeping areas were ticketed?

There is no where to park on Main Street or near the schools.  Yet tickets were being given out along Main Street to every overtime meter.  There are snow drifts in streets, on corners, blocking crosswalks and handicap-accessible curbs.

Where are the priorities of this city?

Hackensack Discussion / Construction projects
« on: October 09, 2009, 02:41:08 PM »
Is anyone else finding it difficult to navigate Hackensack?  It seems that
there wasn't too much thought put into the planning.  I know the Anderson Street
thing was unavoidable, but there are so many many thoroughfares closed in the morning,
that it is very difficult to get where you're going.  Does anyone look at the map of Hackensack
and consider detours and open routes during construction?
Also, what is the construction for?  There was a rumor that it is for Optimum cable.
