Hackensack Discussion / Re: Kazimir's Pets closing

My friends and I used to go there all the time. Would also go to Robin's Pets on Essex street. We always had pet turtles. Little green ones, painted turtles, snapping turtles and box turtles. Always checked out all the animals, was like going to a mini zoo. Used to be many of the department stores had pet departments too.

If the waving arms inside the smaller vehicle are any indication, that guy's not too happy.

It's amazing how fast they put up the Indoor Skydiving place, like it just appeared one day.

1. I can't help but wonder if there's any connection between the sign and, containers.

2. These ladies probably won't be able to use those containers.

3. Maybe they're familiar with the front entrance of this building.

4. Couldn't the customer or the delivery guy just walk the order over from the Noches de Colombia restaurant on Main St?

5. Slow day for deliveries (or maybe they're walking them over to Ward St)

6. In case anyone hasn't driven on Rt 4 westbound by Forest Ave in Paramus lately, this is what's replacing the Forum Diner.

(what's written on YouTube):

The Last Wurl (sorta like The Band's "Last Waltz", but WAY less musical)

A Wurlitzer piano - Model 2880 - was found inside the 395 Main St (Hackensack, NJ) demolition site.

From a distance, it looked to be in fairly decent shape, so efforts were made to give it away before it would have to be trashed.

There were no takers. A close inspection showed that it really wasn't as nice as we thought. You would need mega-musclemen to turn it upside-down and shake all the debris out of it.

When I was notified that today might be its last day, I went over to the site to hit the keys to make some know, give it a Last Wurl.

This video shows that it plays as well as I do.

Adios, 88s.
