Title: Riverkeeper: Volunteer Opportunties
Post by: Editor on October 16, 2006, 04:40:13 PM
Hackensack Riverkeeper is a long-standing and active member of the Alliance for NJ Environmental Education (ANJEE), our state's foremost association of environmental educators. Capt. Bill and Hugh Carola have conducted numerous workshops at ANJEE conferences and in 2007, Hugh will be serving as Conference Coordinator, the first time someone from Hackensack Riverkeeper has held that important position.

One of the jobs he has to get done is mailing 3000 copies of the conference CALL FOR PRESENTERS and CALL FOR EXHIBITORS to potential conference attendees. Needless to say, he's got all the stuff ready - labels, stamps & everything. All he needs is YOU!

We're planning a marathon fold-label-stamp session for this Thursday,
October 19 from 11am until the job is done. As usual, we'll supply lunch and additional supplies to keep you sustained and happy.

We also plan to have one more weeding session at Staib Park/Coles Brook (site of our stream bank restoration) in Hackensack next Thursday, October 26. Please let us know if you can make it, and if morning, midday or afternoon would be best for you.

Thank you very much.
