Auction has already ended, but you weren't going to buy it anyway, so it's cool.

Actually this is an important card. It shows once and for all where the station was so that if other cards come on line there will be no question whether they are looking at the east side or the west side of Prospect Avenue. This is the benchmark.
Notice the covered staircase coming out of the rear of the station.

I'm surprised that the station was still there AFTER the nearby apartments were built on Central Ave.

I must have just missed it.  I don't remember it being there around 1971-1972.

As a young child growing up in Maywood, my friends and I used to walk the tracks to just about this spot.  Our parents didn't want us on the tracks at all, but we did anyway.  And we were especially told not to go past Prospect Ave and into Hackensack's black neighborhood.  That was an absolutely forbidden place for Maywood grade-school kids to go.  On several occasions, kids from the other side ventured up the tracks, and we were afraid to interact with them in any way.  Kept our distance. Their parents probably told them not to go west of Prospect Ave.  Isn't it sad how little kids were taught to fear other people.
