Make that "Geese"...............and my last name's not Cratchit!
At about a quarter to ten this morning, I heard a LOT of geese honking. It took me a while to locate them and I finally saw them flying south, but they had already flown way south of me, heading toward the Bergen County Courthouse vicinity, a mile away. From my east-facing living room window, I focused on the courthouse and took the picture just as they were passing good ol' Enlightenment atop the building.
Exactly ONE minute later, I heard another loud gaggle that was flying north straight out my window, so I took the second shot.
Was this the same group circling back? If not, I would have seen a second group south of me a minute earlier.
I've seen lots of geese over the years flying in a certain direction, but never coming right back.
It's a Christmas miracle! (miracles are hard to come by around here..............I'll take what I can get)
