Title: Family Dance Party Classes at Center for Modern Dance Education
Post by: cmde on October 05, 2013, 11:06:32 AM
The Center for Modern Dance Education (CMDE) will be offering a special new Drop-in Family Dance Party, targeted at families with young children, to encourage family interaction, early learning, and healthy, creative play!  The class is made possible by funding from Hackensack Rotary, and will be taught by CMDE staff members at the Center's Hackensack studio, 84 Euclid Avenue.

Family Dance Party will be offered on Saturdays from 2:00-3:00 PM starting on October 12 and will run for 6 weeks.  Adults with children age 18 months to 6 years and their siblings are invited to participate in multi-cultural music, dance, and art activities together as a family. It is inclusive of students with disabilities. There is a suggested fee of $10 per family per class.

The objective of the class is to provide access to early childhood arts-learning activities for families who cannot afford to pay the full cost of such programs, and welcome them into the "CMDE dance family."  The program is targeted at local families who have difficulty affording arts education for themselves and their children.  Call 201-342-2989 for more information.

CMDE also offers a full range of dance classes for toddlers through adults.   A complete schedule of CMDE courses and registration information is available at www.cmde.org

Rotary is a service organization dedicated to community service and promotion of high ethical standards.   The Hackensack Rotary Community Grant Program supports projects by nonprofit organizations based in Hackensack and serving the city's residents.
