The DIRECTV blimp was flying all around the area last weekend: Saturday to cover the Yankees game and Sunday...............well, I don't know what it was doing Sunday, but it appeared over the high-rises and was heading north late Sunday morning.
I've photographed it numerous times before, so I was looking for something different this time - images that would make it seem to interact with whatever was in its two-dimensional path.
One such thing was a couple of feet away from me on my roof and the other was two blocks away. The first was ironic, the second looked dangerous and they were taken 2 minutes apart.
Fortunately, the blimp was moving slow enough to improvise.
