I see Mr. Sasson is in this story. Guess what he said about The Record ignoring his candidacy was wrong.

The building that was torn down was an art deco gem, and I was sorry to see it go. I also wondered why there was nothing about this in The Record.

I think the park or urban plaza is a nice touch for a building that was so poorly designed as to be unapproachable from the street.
And residents shouldn't let the loss of tax revenue blind them to the real problem in Hackensack -- tax-exempt entities like Hackensack University Medical Center and Fairleigh Dickinson University that resist doing the right thing and giving back to the city that accommodates them so graciously. Even the county could do more for Hackensack to compensate the city for the loss of tax revenue.
Let the negotiations begin.
As the editor of Eye on The Record, I am unclear on what objection the editor of Hackensack Now has to providing a link to a blog that from its very first post in 2009 took The Record to task for leaving Hackensack and then ignoring the city in news coverage, and I am also puzzled by him moving the topic to the "community soapbox."
This amounts to labeling me a crackpot and attacking my credibility.
Victor E. Sasson
I think the censorship being exercised by the editor is unnecessary and unwarranted. But this sentiment might be deleted on the grounds that it is "a personal attack." What exactly have people complained about?
