I haven't posted on this topic in a while, but that doesn't mean that anything got fixed. Many captions still say that the photo's subject "reacts" when he/she is just standing there doing nothing, but we got a couple of new dopey captions today.

1. Why would the caption advise you to look for the guy wearing purple in a black-and-white photograph?

2. Does anyone in this picture appear to have been "thrown down", as the caption suggests? And when you look at the way the caption writer spelled "Joseph's", do you wonder if maybe he/she got thrown down on his/her head?

There's new twist lately to something that few people put any stock in: horoscopes - something that is usually read for amusement because they're usually so far off.

It appears that a new entity has taken over............one that almost solely involves ridiculous-sounding planetary connections and their effects. Check out these three from this month (and my apologies if you truly believe in any of this).

ONE LATE ADDITION: I just found this sitting for the last month on my desktop...............more great writing.

There's a story in today's Record (the link is "subscribers only") that basically says this: the main 3-story building and iconic tower will be preserved and a 258-unit apartment building will be "constructed around it" (I'm not sure how that works).

There will also be almost 18,000 square feet of retail space along Main St and Anderson St, two interior courtyards and a pool.

Can't wait to see what this will look like.

That's a phrase I'm reading a lot lately from boomer posts about their musicians - many of whom I used to photograph and have posted images of on this site.

We lost two more last week - drummer Neil Peart of Rush and David Crosby of CSN (and sometimes Y):

1. Here's Neil at Radio City in 1983.

2. And here's David (right) with Graham Nash during a Crosby, Stills and Nash performance at Madison Square Garden on Halloween 1986 at the Crackdown benefit ("Crackdown on Crack"). Other performers included the Allman Brothers, Santana, Run-DMC, Mick Taylor, Felix Cavaliere and Tito Puente(!).

3. If you're interested, this is what the benefit was about.

4. You'll notice that Graham Nash is wearing a Crackdown artist's pass. Here's mine.

Bob, thanks for the time and effort putting this together, and sharing. I have been gone from Hackensack for 35 years. A lot of changes since then.
